Freedom (2011)

I have seen many depressed birds trapped in their cages which people hang for decorating their houses. I simply tried to create a bird that asks for freedom.
The bird was created with red clay and baked. I used copper oxide with earthenware glaze and baked it in the reduction process. The smoke produced during reduction changed the color and created a metallic and lustre effect. I exhibited it in The Second International Festival of Visual Arts of Fajer (ceramic):Tehran, Saba Gallery in 2010.
