Adam and Eve (2007)
According to the creation myth of the Abrahamic religions, Adam and Eve were the first man and woman. In this story, God creates Adam and Eve and places them in Paradise along with angels. Satan, the embodiment of evil and God’s great opponent, deceives them into breaking the promise of following God’s commandments. A furious God expels them from Paradise for their act of disobedience and sends them to Earth. My work depicts the Fall of Adam and Eve from Paradise. I have used different ceramic pomegranates to represent angels, and Adam and Eve. Each of them has a different glaze.
