Manasa Pots (2022)

Manasa is a Hindu goddess of snakes worshipped mainly in West Bengal, India. In the past, potters used to paint Manasa's figure on the pots specially designed to be used in worship rituals. I liked their forms and made some pots inspired by them. I applied my iron glaze on them and baked them in reduction atmosphere.
